The Department of Development provides services that enhance the physical environment and promote the economic development of the City. To this end, the Department of Development plays a vital part in the life cycle of land use and building in the City. Any structure, whether an addition to a house or the construction of an office complex, has to be planned, financed, built, maintained and, in some cases, eventually torn down.
Working closely with the Palm Beach County Business Development Board as well as the County Economic Development office, the Department of Development has extensive experience in expediting approvals for businesses large and small.
